New on the arrivals list: CZ's DUTY 4.0, the new-generation striker 9x19mm, dated and listed the day it came in. It ships in four configurations, C compact, F full-size and MS versions of each with a manual thumb safety, and every one has a direct-mount optics-ready slide, fixed sights, a 4-inch unthreaded barrel and a 1.3-inch width. The serialized component is an internal modular chassis inside a fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame.
For duty-pistol and everyday-carry buyers in Houston, San Antonio, Pensacola, Nashville, Birmingham or Columbus, the numbers matter: the F runs 17+1, 19+1 with the extended base plate, at 780 g; the C runs 15+1, 17+1 extended, at 770 g and 135 mm tall. The SFDA trigger is rated at 5.6 pounds, plus or minus 0.9, with 9 mm of travel and a 4 mm reset. CZ's launch photos show Holosun, Aimpoint and Shield dots fitted. MSRP is $729.
Pick the F when the gun lives on a belt or in a bedside rather than under a T-shirt. Over the short-grip it adds two rounds (17+1 against 15+1), about 8 mm of grip and 10 g of weight, and nothing else changes.
This is the version with a manual thumb safety. The three automatic safeties (firing pin block, trigger safety, trigger bar safety) are the same as on every DUTY; the lever is an extra for people who were trained on one or simply want one.
What is new under the slide is the registered modular chassis. The serial number lives on the internal chassis, not on the polymer grip, so the frame module is a part you can change while the gun stays the same gun. Around it CZ put a reworked SFDA striker trigger, rated at 25 ± 4 N (5.6 ± 0.9 lbs) with a 0.16 in (4 mm) reset and 9 ± 1 mm (0.4 ± 0.04 in) of travel, and a slide cut for direct-mount optics. CZ's own photos show it wearing Holosun, Aimpoint and Shield optics.
Best fit: home defense, duty use, competition and long range sessions where the extra grip and two more rounds matter. Shooters coming from a CZ 75 will recognize the grip angle; shooters coming from any other striker gun will notice the trigger first.
Every listing shows the date it landed, and this one is a 2026 release. Order it and choose the licensed dealer you want it shipped to; your dealer applies your state's rules at pickup. Optics, lights, magazines and gear ship to your door, so the dot can be waiting when the pistol arrives. We confirm price and stock live at order time, before you pay.
Questions buyers ask: Which optics has CZ shown on the DUTY 4.0? CZ's photos show Holosun, Aimpoint and Shield red dots on the direct-mount slide. Confirm your optic's footprint against the cut before ordering plates or screws. Is the DUTY 4.0 a duty-size gun? The F full-size is 143 mm tall with 17+1 rounds and a 4-inch barrel, the usual duty footprint; the C compact trims 8 mm of height and two rounds for carry. Is the CZ DUTY 4.0 F MS the same gun as the F? Yes, apart from the manual thumb safety. Chassis, trigger, slide and the 17+1 capacity are identical.
